Wednesday, May 30, 2012 From 5:30 till 11:00am and 11:00am till 1:00pm Classical Discoveries will celebrate it's 15th Anniversary on the air (began May 29 1997), as well as the 4th Anniversary of Classical Discoveries Goes Avant-Garde - program designed to accommodate works that very often fall between the cracks and are difficult to classify as well as many electronic selections and more avant-garde works that are ignored by most radio stations. The Avant-Garde Edition originally started as a series of 4 summer specials in 2006, become a whole summer program in 2007, and a regular feature from June 6, 2008 with 4 hour specials running through the whole summer. Over the years both programs have presented many world and US premiere broadcasts. This week's program includes listener requests and works which were official presented as premiere broadcasts on Classical Discoveries and the Avant-Garde Edition. Please also check my new blog:
