In observance of the upcoming anniversary of 9/11  and in anticipation of the upcoming Saturday/Sunday Marathon, Classical Discoverieswill be devoted to music of contemplation.

You will hear "Yizkor Requiem" by American Composer, Thomas Beveridge (1938- ) Symphony No. 1, "Da Pacem Domine" by Australian Composer, Ross Edwards (1943- ), Talin for Clarinet and String Orchestra by American Composer, Alan Hovhaness (1911-2000), Namah for String Orchestra (2000) by Slovakian Composer, Peter Machajdik (1961- ), Adagio and Fuga for Strings by Greek Composer, Vangelis Petsalis (1965- ), "Aurei Regina Caeli" for Mixed Choir by Lithuanian Composer, Raminta Šerkšnytė (1975- ), Lento for Orchestra by English composer, Howard Skempton (1947- ), plus music by Vladimir Godar, Gregory Hutter, Pēteris Vasks, Richard Yardumian and many others.
