The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam by American composer, Alan Hovhaness (1911-2000) - Our anniversary is this Wednesday morning and The Rubaiyat of Hovhaness was the piece that brought Beata and I together. The LP (conducted by Andre Kostelanetz) was out of print when we met for the first time and I brought her a copy on our first date since I owned two copies!
