Lesser known music before 1750

in observance of Women’s History Month each edition of "Treasures of Early Music" March 06, 13, 20 and 27, 2017  will feature one major work by a woman composer written before 1750 as well as some other works by women.

The early music programs for this month will be participating in Early Music Month 2017 - Event #EMM2017.

Here is a list of some of the works which will be presented:
Cantatille: Le Printems by French composer, Julie Pinel (1st half of 18th cent.)
Spring from "The Four Seasons" by Italian composer, Giovanni Antonio Guido (c. 1675-after 1728)
Misa de Difuntos by Columbia composer, Juan de Herrera (1670-1738)
Missa verbum incarnatum by Franco-Flemish composer, Arnold de Lantins (?-1432)
Stabat Mater by Italian composer, Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757)
plus music by:
Johannes Christoph Demantius,
Francesco Mancini,
Agostino Steffani,
Barbara Strozzi

and others

In observance of Women’s History Month this edition of "Treasures of Early Music" will feature: complete Céphale et Procris, tragédie en musique by French composer, Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre (1665-1729)
