Lesser known music before 1750

in observance of Women’s History Month each edition of "Treasures of Early Music" March 06, 13, 20 and 27, 2017  will feature one major work by a woman composer written before 1750 as well as some other works by women.

The early music programs for this month will be participating in Early Music Month 2017 - Event #EMM2017.

Here is a list of some of the works which will be presented:
Vespers, Op. 3, by German composer, Johann Caspar Ferdinand Fischer (1656-1746)
Suite in D Major by French composer, François Francœur (1698-1787)
Credo for 8 voices by Franco-Flemish composer, Nicolas Gombert (c. 1495-c.1560)
Missa Brevissima by Polish composer, Franciszek Lilius c. 1600-1657)
Passamezo from Tabulatura Nova by German composer, Samuel Scheidt (587-1654)
plus music by:
John Amner,
Tarquinio Merula,
Antonio Maria Montanari,

and others

In observance of Women’s History Month "Treasures of Early Music" will feature: La liberazione di Ruggiero dall'isola d'Alcina by Italian composer, Francesca Caccini (1587-1640) (Libretto), Rosanna Scalfi Marcello, and others
